Robust Point of Use Solution

Remove Problem Substances From Your Water

Reverse Osmosis Systems remove up to 98% of inorganic contaminants and leave your water tasting great. If your water test reveals high levels of total dissolved solids or several problem substances like chlorine, salt, or arsenic, a point of use Reverse Osmosis System at each source of drinking water is a comprehensive solution. Reverse Osmosis Systems also remove bad tastes and odors from your water which may not be harmful but can be unpleasant.

The focal point of each Reverse Osmosis System is a semi-permeable membrane, which filters out unwanted particles as water is forced through. Before water reaches the membrane, it passes through one or several carbon and sediment filters to remove chlorine, dirt, and other large particles that might clog or damage the semi-permeable membrane. Clean water is then stored in a tank until use, at which time it passes through one final filter.

Reverse Osmosis Systems do not remove microorganisms. If your water tests high for bacteria, a UV filter should be installed before your water passes through the semi-permeable membrane. If you have hard water like most of our customers in Southeastern Pennsylvania, a water softener should also be used. The Reverse Osmosis System will remove excess sodium created by the water softening process.

Reverse Osmosis Systems are typically point-of-use for drinking water only. Although point-of-entry systems do exist, this level of filtering is typically unnecessary for water that will not be consumed, and requires massive storage tanks.

Does your water contain high levels of total dissolved solids?

Dierolf Plumbing and Water Treatment recommends Reverse Osmosis Systems to many of our customers in Berks, Bucks, and Montgomery counties to remove a range of inorganic contaminants and improve the smell and taste of their water. Reverse Osmosis Systems are often used in conjunction with water softeners and UV filters to provide safe, clean, and delicious water.
